Max and Goofy gave me a Kindle (and flowers) for Mother's Day yesterday. So, I've spent the last two days trying to figure out the best way of moving all of my documents (mostly fanfiction, but there's quite a bit of other stuff in there, too) from the iTouch, which uses ePub, to the Kindle, which uses .mobi.
All I can say is thank heavens for Calibre. As long as it's not DRM'ed (I have one DRM book; I doubt I will ever buy another one again), Calibre converts just about anything. The cleaner the original, of course, the better the result, but still. And AO3's download, which are "meh" for the iTouch, work just fine for the Kindle. And I finally got Calibre and Collections to play with one another politely, so things seems to be going well.
Now, to finish setting my iTouch up for tomorrow's drive, and I can go to bed, with almost a gig of reading material.
