Three More Days

Until Goofy comes home for an extended time.
In recent months, Goofy has been running around the country, trying to come up with billable hours to make his paycheck continue to be what it should be. He's also been working very late hours. The result: Max and I aren't seeing Goofy much and, when we are, he's mostly tied to the #*($ computer (in a not-fun way). However, Max finishes school for the year on Wednesday, Goofy comes home that night and we all have the weekend off. Max and Goofy go to a ball game on Thursday while my sister B comes up (I'm a little nervous about this, to be honest; we don't have a whole lot in common.) Friday, we head into NYC for the Pompeii and Harry Potter exhibits at the Discover Museum at Times Square and then Zarkana (Cirque du Soleil) in Radio City Music Hall. Exciting stuff. Saturday is rest and cleaning. Sunday is the picnic, where Max's two best friends (plus brother) will be there with parents.
All I have to get through is three partial school days and one doctor's appointment (where final decisions are made about anti-depressants.) I'm tired, I'm cranky, and I can't wait.
Goofy had a quiet Father's Day, which he spent setting up the new iPad he got for the occasion. He protested (expense, especially relative to my Mother's Day gift (which is awesome!!)), but he's really happy with it already. (It impresses me as a bad size: a little too big for easy portability/use and a little too small for power computing - but maybe not.) He's excited, which is all that counts.
And, now, I'm taking myself to bed. **yawn** Good night.!
